The Love Council provides a circle of integrated and comprehensive pastoral care with the heart of Christ at the center. The Council meets regularly to worship, debrief, and obtain additional education. Included in The Love Council are:
Good Shepherding School — Educates and equips Lay Pastoral Assistants for ministry.
Lay Pastoral Assistants — Trained lay ministers who, under the supervision of the clergy, assist with parishioner-to-parishioner pastoral care.
Threads of Comfort — Provide prayer blankets, shawls, prayer pockets, and other blessed comfort items.
Bereavement Team — Provides receptions following funerals, without requiring effort from the family.
The Mourner’s Path — A Christ-centered group transforming grief into joyful living.
Home Team — Arrange light in-home assistance with small repairs, chores, errands, and other brief tasks.
Meals Team — Delivers meals to those who, because of illness, surgery, loss, or other circumstances, are unable to prepare food.
Prayer Partners — Pray for the needs of others.
Fit to Serve — Confidential e-prayer and support group promoting better health in service to Christ.
Nursing Home/Assisted Living Ministry — Lay Eucharistic Visitation, worship, spiritual accompaniment.
Care Cards — Create beautiful handmade cards used to bless those who are ill, recovering, suffering grief or loss.
