Hurricane Preparedness

As we head into summer, it is wise to recognize the looming threat of tropical storms and hurricanes. Those of us who have lived here a long time know that winds, floods, and power outages are a part of living on the Gulf Coast. St. Christopher has developed a comprehensive plan not only to assure that our own building is prepared, but that our parishioners are cared for. The first part of any extensive plan is for each parishioner to have a personal plan. To help you make your own plan we have provided a packet of information and planning materials. To view this packet please click on the link below.

  • Please find attached the parish Hurricane Preparedness Plan Information List, which provides basic information about how to proceed in the event of a hurricane. This list has been developed so that the parish family might be informed as to the status and locations of members before and in the wake of a storm, and to enable assistance to be rendered, if needed.
  • Also attached is a form for congregants for special needs.
You will find valuable information on the following website regarding Hurricane Preparedness, specific to our area.  Galveston County Office of Emergency Management:  HERE.
