Where Did They All Come From?

If you’ve been out and about lately, whether walking your neighborhood or driving around just to have a change of venue, you might have noticed the sidewalks, bike lanes, and walking trails have exploded with people. The slowdown of the workday has driven many out of their homes for fresh air on a regular basis.

Even more fascinating is observing the interaction going on (usually safely) between neighbors and strangers. I’ve heard from multiple people over the last few weeks that they are getting to know others that they never would have under “normal” circumstances. There’s an entire community of people that most of us never bothered to pay attention to, let alone see. Our bubbles have been popped!

Hebrews 13:2 says, “Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for some who have done this have entertained angels without realizing it!”

Out of this pandemic, God is establishing relationships, connections, and community, paving the way for all of us to entertain angles. God has taken this devastating time, and is turning it in to something Holy. Thanks be to God!

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace. May the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, keep you safe and make you strong, this night and always. Amen.
